Yesterday, we went to Costco on yet another quest to satiate my recent cravings for churros. :> The thing is that Costco requires a membership card at entrance, though a lot of people have said that the local ones allow you to enter just the separate food-serving area regardless. So we trusted that and went for it.
Unfortunately, the lady at the door was extremely strict about it and wouldn't let us in, which is pretty understandable.
But just then, an Asian man with two young daughters walked by pushing a shopping cart.
And without hesitation, he interfered, "Oh, I'll pay for them!"
The lady at the entrance and we were all equally confused. OAO;;
And he kept insisting, "Yeah, they're with me," then he'd show the lady his membership card and smile at us, "I'll take responsibility for them." The lady very reluctantly allowed it.
Once we were inside, he kept the same kindness and told us, "If you need to buy anything, just come and find me," and then went off with his daughters. Honestly, we didn't even know what to do other than say 'thank you' over and over. I think he made all of our days ;u;~
It's absolutely reassuring to know that there are still such nice people out there. QuQ I'm really happy for his daughters to have such a person as their father, who's even in this little gesture shown compassion and that he'll be a great role model. I think and hope they'll grow up really well. Wherever he is out there, thank you again!!
