💕💕💕 My fifth year attending KCON and I'm still impressed at how I almost always have a good time as long as the ticket wars don't kill me! This year's lineup included two of my favorite girl groups (IZ*ONE and LOONA) and just overall most things were really fun and reasonably well executed in my opinion! It's still insane that simply at the convention itself—before you even make it to the concerts—you can encounter a ton of idols, listen to their special talks, potentially interact with them. ;u; I find some panels pretty interesting and I really enjoy exploring the expo with all the free beauty and food samples and loads of unbelievably delicious sales!! It's just become a no-brainer for me to go every year LOL.

Artists that we saw this year!!!

💘 Owns my soul probably: IZ*ONE, LOONA
💕 Love~: fromis_9, SF9
🌸 Like: NU'EST, Mamamoo, Itzy, Seventeen
👌 I guess I like?: N.Flying, AB6IX
🔍 Interested in learning more: ATEEZ, Stray Kids
😊 Neutral: Momoland, Verivery

Just like me, this post is long and messy—sorry, not sorry.

(The second installment to this 2014 post.)

Hi!! I tweeted this a few days ago but thought I'd post here too since I used to often blog my make-up ventures. ^^

It all started when I developed a girl crush on EXID's Hani. I mean, truly, if I were there THAT WOULD BE ME.

She put me through this entire phase of "oh my god why does Hani make purple hair seem so tempting" -> "wait don't let me get purple hair though lmao I have two purple wigs omg" -> "ACTUALLY maybe...." -> "Okay it's happening, I want to try purple ends to my hair." But alas, I don't think I'll be doing it after all LOL... My hair's gotten pretty dry, so I'm wary about how much I'd have to bleach it in order to achieve purple.

She's also made me wonder if I would want to try having frontal bangs again. >A> I was thinking of buying some extensions, but the other day I trimmed my bangs, and it was short enough to kiiind of fake it when my hair is really curled!

Typical Eva~

Cue transformation sequence aka an hour of me struggling to put on makeup

sparkly music

Yeah, I don't know who this is--

I think this was my first time highlighting my entire lower eye rim like this, but I'll probably try doing it more. Honestly, the makeup looked shitty in person (the camera tells lies and in this case, it's great) but it was fun to do!

Memebox Haul / I'm Tint Balm (Lovely Coral) Review

:'D Due to KCON's influence and my growing obsession with Korean skincare, I got my first order from Memebox (sadly pronounced me-me-box and not meme-box) this week~
Until the end of August, the code KCONXMEMEBOX will get you a 20% discount kekekeke

My new skincare goods are SO MUCH AESTHETIC.
So far I like them? I must say though that all three of these products feel thick on my face—which could be good or uncomfortable. I don't know to what exactly I can attribute it, but my skin has been a lot better this week! Yay! It could be a specific product(s), or the fact that I've added a few steps to my nightly skin routine. :D

SCINIC Pig Collagen Jelly Cream: Such an interesting texture, but I guess you should expect that from a product of..pig parts.... It reminds me of jello (makes sense 'cause gelatin), in that it's almost a semisolid when it sets... It's fascinating and I don't mind it. ^^ I'm using it as a sleeping pack.

SCINIC Hyaluronic Acid Ampoule 95: My first ampoule! And first time trying hyaluronic acid which is supposedly great for dry skin. Oh please oh please save my dry ass skin. I love that it comes with a dropper.

GOODAL Firming Camellia Water Oil: YOOOOOOOO THIS PACKAGING! The bottle is frosted glass, which makes it a pleasure to behold and touch. And it's a pump! I don't know how to categorize a "water oil" (it's neither watery nor oily; it's like a gel) so I treat it as essence. There's another GOODAL product I love, so I trust this.. Oh please oh please save my premature wrinkles.

I also bought this blackhead remover because...:'D isn't everyone curious as to how many blackheads they'll pull off their nose? It'll be interesting to try.

Lastly, I got the I'M MEME I'm Tint Balm (Lovely Coral) since I've been looking for more lip products that are moisturizing and have lasting color. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good!

It feels like lip balm, looks like lip gloss, and lasts like lip tint. ^^
That's.... 2 out of 3 of what I want LOL.

Oh my god KCON this year was such a mess. I loved it soooo much last year that I pledged to try to go again in all coming years even if it was expensive, and THIS YEAR LET ME DOWN SO HARD. From as early as the stupid unfair ticket sale process (only a few of the sections were available to buy from?? AND they put you in a random place in line, not first-come-first serve), it was mostly stupid all the way through. Stupid needlessly long lines in which I spent most of my KCON waiting. Stupid things that were not clear or written wrongly or not written at all or not well thought-through or "I can't help you; go wait in that line instead," "I can't help you; you'll have to wait for my supervisor." So! many! things! went wrong! STUPID AS FUCK lack of screens during the concerts so unless you spent a shitload of money and were lucky enough to get the good tickets, you couldn't see anything! I've never been to a concert before that didn't have big screens so that people in the back could see. Who does that?! Fucking KCON!

Yo look at this panorama from the night I had better seats and see if you can spot the only screens.

But positive points!
I continue to adore all of the K-beauty access and information at the convention. Last year, Charlotte Cho (Sokoglam) and beautifymeeh's panel basically changed my life forever!!!! It taught me most of the things I know about skincare! I've been hooked on Korean skincare since, dedicated myself to a nightly skin routine, and it smoothed out my skin. *___* Plus all the products are well packaged and there's such a variety and it's pretty fun to be into LOL.

This year, my favorite panel was Aritaum's—I learned a lot about how to apply different products and the research behind the products, and the reps were so sweet! ;v; Chiisana and I visited their booth and one of the reps offered to give Chiisa a mini-makeover to test which BB cushion is her color. They used the same products demonstrated at the panel, and her skin looked better than ever, so I was persuaded to buy the Iope Bio Hydro Cream since I have dry skin ehe.. (And it came with nice free samples for expensive things *A*) So far, it's made my face look pretty moisturized!

I actually really liked how my skin looked on this day! I used the tips I learned from the panel kekeke

My favorite Aritaum product continues to be the Water Sliding Lip Tint though. It's the only Aritaum product Chiisa and I owned before this week, but it's both of our current favorite lip products, something we literally use everyday, and the only reason we decided to attend the panel LOL. It's seriously an awesome lip tint and it puzzles me as to why I never hear about it!!! We learned about and bought them for the first time in a store that was having a BOGO deal, so they were like $4.50 each or something. And this year we went back to that store just to get them again (although ours from last year haven't run out yet still!).

Anyway, all of the cosmetics promoters at the con were so very generous! Chiisa and I spent most of our [limited] convention time in the "Beauty Block" section of the expo hall. Most of the booths had giveaways so we participated in a handful of them, and sometimes the sponsors would go through everyone in line and give a free mask as a thank you for waiting!! Even with how little time we got to spend at the convention and not in lines, we've accumulated a good amount of free Korean skincare products LMAO.

ALL THE AWESOME FREE K-BEAUTY PRODUCTS I GOT WAAAAA

Another positive point was the cool concert line-up. I think the performances overall were pretty good but it was damn hard to tell when I couldn't see much. The energy was there though! It was still fun even though I was annoyed.

[Review] Secret Key Haul First Impressions

YOOOOO I haven't done a post like this in a long time! Because I'm a sucker for anything related to Lovelyz, I went and ordered a mini haul from skincare/make-up brand Secret Key—which has blessed us with one of Lovelyz' first commercials, below. FUCK YEAH I'M SO HAPPY FOR THEM ;U;

These are the things I ordered!

Honestly I only really wanted the lip tint because I'm a sucker for pretty lip products, but HEY MAN, FREE SHIPPING OVER $49 hahahahahaha..ha.. It turned out fine since I'll need a toner replacement soon, and my liquid eyeliners and mascara have long dried up .... :'D
ALSO some really nice deals happening on Secret Key!! All in all, I only paid $41.23 for a $75.43 value order. And still got free shipping! The Lovelyz coupon gave me 20% off, but the current one is "10% off + 10% mileage plus" until April 17th.

Not to mention the lip tints and eyeliner were part of an amazing 1 + 1 deal, which is still going!
Actually, I'm missing the brown eyeliner that I ordered so I'll see how customer service handles that.

But I ain't even mad because WOW I didn't expect all of these extra free gifts?!

  • Nature Recipe Mask Pack - Aloe
  • Chubby Sweets Lip Scrub
  • UV CUT High Protection Sun Cream
  • 24K Gold Premium First Essence x 2

Is someone in trouble for packing my order wrong or is Secret Key just insanely generous? The sun cream and lip scrub aren't even sample size!! Maybe it's because they know I'm a lovelinus. ^^

Straight up, the most interesting things I got in this package were:
1) the SYN-AKE toner which is supposedly synthetic snake venom which supposedly reduces wrinkles, and
2) the free 24K essence which seems to... actually have little gold flakes floating in it..... Has gold always been good for the skin, or is this just a really expensive gimmick?

I'll be doing a first impression review on the lip tint and eye liner under the cut. :> Warning: I don't know shit about make-up and there are many waaaay-too-close-up pictures of my face.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaa, Spring Break started !
And there are many upcoming photo posts. Be warned :'D;;

Chiisana (who's back for break yay!) slept over last Friday since we left early Saturday morning on a trip to Fresno with other friends, which I'll post about later. :>

We practiced applying eye make-up a bit! I defs need practice qqqqq
Mostly I wanted to experiment with having a more dramatic look for a photoshoot................. heh... since I would like to do better [than] [last] [year].

I'll.....work on it again when I eventually actually have more than 2 dark colors of eyeshadow.

THIS IS A CAMWHORE POST. with atrocious yellow bedroom lighting...

Stumble and Fall

:D Basically the one recording thing I actually worked on during this winter break hehehehh. It's so short, but I started it before Christmas and only was able to finish a week ago orzz...

It's a cover of "Stumble and Fall" by Phoenix Ash, the j-rock-inspired band of which Fome/Sean is the lead vocalist. ;u; A little [belated] Christmas gift to Fome, who's a good friend I'd probably be more lost without.

I sang rock! Which is weird. Totally not my forte, if I even had one.
(Also mucho thanks to my buddy Kazou for doing a harmony guide for me since I'm harmonically deaf QuQ;;)

This is kind of an appropriate follow-up to my singing rock..... :'D Lately after work, I've been working on a demo reel to submit to organizations in my quest for an internship, which I need ASAP.. and is required for me to fucking graduate with my degree.. but that's another story. But yeah uwu I took a break the other night to finally try out the eyeliner that my raburii bestie Chiisana gave me for Christmas. First time drawing it like this~

..And then I was too lazy to do the other eye.
(And later was too lazy to clean it off UGHH this is why I'm super low maintenance and gross trololol)

Please excuse my unkempt state LOL.
I find makeup-no makeup comparison shots really interesting. It's color and it's enhancing or hiding, but it makes such a difference to one's features..!

The brand is K-Palette and I REAAALLY LIKE IT. I've been wanting to buy one of my own ever since I tried Chiisa's while we were at Anime Expo in July, preparing for a day out at con in cosplay. It's the only eyeliner I've ever experienced that didn't smudge even after a day of activity. Even though I tear up and blink a lot during the application due to sensitive eyes!! BLESSSSS. *^*)b

Chu~♡ My Lip Tint Pack Review Video

Hurrhurr, I started buying makeup in March and thought I should try doing review blogs and especially vlogs to show how the application of the products actually looks, since those are helpful and surprisingly rare. Finally got my first one up! I've mentioned before how much I admire KASPER, who raps and does makeup videos, and she did her own review of the pink version of this product for WISHTrend. I like her videos, but sometimes you can't help but wonder if people leave out any negative remarks due to affiliation/sponsorship, and I know WISHTrend is distributing this lip tint on their website.

Also, this is just such a fascinating and unique product that my curiosity couldn't help it, heh. I've been slightly addicted to looking at/buying lip products in the past 2 months. ㅠㅠ But they are the only thing I wear on a regular basis and I need them so that people don't ask me if I'm sick/wonder if I'm dead....

Anyway, if you've watched this, thanks for dealing with my awkward and lack of makeup know-how. u_u

[Review] Berrisom Semi-Permanent Lip Tint - Orange
Skim on through:
APPLICATION -- 1:40
PEELING OFF -- 2:28
10 HOURS LATER -- 3:15

Part 1 of all the videos I put on the back-burner in the past few busy months! (Editing is such effort.) Mostly did this one 'cause I haven't seen anyone actually show what it looks like after a day. uAu;;

If you're interested in this product, my suggestion is to try out the Red Apple (Hot Pink) one instead—AND THEN MAKE A VIDEO so I can see, heh. Pls. :'D

~

BRAND: Berrisom
PRODUCT: Chu~♡ My Lip Tint Pack
COLOR: Pink Grapefruit (Orange)
PURCHASED FROM: http://www.neobeauty.com/bechumylipti.html ($10.00 excl. shipping)

Verdict:
A product whose a-peel fades away.

This was undoubtedly one of best days of Spring Break. ^^ It was the first time almost all of NYA (Norcal Youtube Alliance) was gathered, and it was for such a fun outing with food, purikura, karaoke, and good company. Additionally, Andy came to visit from Socal and joined us!

My day started off with just me and Chiisana. Y got off work at 1 PM, so the plan was for me and Chiisana to visit Y's workplace and then head up to San Francisco together with others we had to pick up on the way.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY GOT UP AT 9 AM.... to put on make-up. Chiisa and I have been largely dedicating this Spring Break to our venture into beauty, since we ordered a joint make-up haul and we finally had time to explore it this week. xD We later had a sleepover during which we spent hours trying out/learning to use make-up, which I'll blog about later.

This day was my very first time wearing make-up out of the house casually u/////u .... as in not for cosplay, prom, or a wedding. But the only eye make-up I donned was brown gel liner so even those that noticed thought it was subtle. ;u;

Damn what a busy week it's been that simply whizzed by with one drawled-out long exclamation of, "Thee weaattherr is sooooo niiiiiiceee ! !"
..I freaking love California.

Things to buy and try:

  • circle lenses
  • hair straightener (for curling)
  • brown gel eyeliner
  • BB cream (maybe)
  • concealer
  • coral lipstick
  • orange lip tints and/or glosses
  • aegyo sal "under eye maker" (doubles as eyeshadow)
  • some alternative for darker eyeshadow (?) bc it's too powdery for my dry skin
  • false eyelashes

Awwwww yea, taking some steps forward. LET'S DO IT.

Special mention: this looks super cute and I have no use for it. Not even for cosplay.

so I'm gonna be trying out lenses (cosplay purposes) which means no glasses to hide my eyes, so I'm trying to practice eye make-up. Q^Q)9 I'm not very good at it.... BUT I no longer cry when putting on eyeliner, and that's a great achievement for me already.
Two years ago, I would even cry when putting in eye drops LOLL.
