Yo, yo!! Aaaa first time in a long time having a day just at home *^* Lots of things I wanted to blog about are no longer current, but looking back, I really did have a blast on my company cruise to Mexico so I'll dedicate a post to that~ I'm really lucky because I've been working there long enough to have the company cover all of my cruise expenses. I had to miss a whole day of class and I missed the opportunity to pitch my short screenplay The Anti-Cupid to the class as a potential to be made into a film, buuuuuut this might be a once in a lifetime chance that I'm glad I didn't miss!
It was such an adventure!! My first time on a cruise! And we went to Ensenada in Baja California, Mexico! And I felt like I got closer with my coworkers, who were great company!

Come aboard?
The ship was considered a moderate size, but still pretty cool--it had water slides, mini golf, a gym, a casino, bars and lounges, err..... not enough jacuzzi's, a spa that was overbooked, and a pool too small.
Very importantly though: it had nice food.
Soft serve ice cream machines and a pizza bar open 24 hrs? YES PLEASE.

Me in one of my happiest forms: as a snug, toasty pile of blanket (okay, towel) on my 3rd cone of chocolate soft serve ice cream of that meal. Yes. This is me in heaven. Check with me when we're dead. I'll look like this.
The water park! We went down the really high slide ... more times than I can remember. It was cold and we were done playing, and then the general manager bossman appeared and told us to go again, so we had to LOL. (This was right before I became a mountain of towel.)
OMFGGGGGGG THIS WAS A VIOLIN THEMED LOUNGE/BAR. IT MADE ME SO HAPPY.
I played violin from 3rd to 12th grade, so there's bias but I just find the design classy as heck.
And back to food again because why not?
Elegant Dinner Night!
:'D ... Me and my 4 friends who were declared my "bodyguards" by our bosses... orz ahahaha.. I think I can take care of myself just fine too, but they did look out for me well. o^o)9 Really cool guys, they are.
ACTUALLY. this is the best story. this is my favorite cruise story to tell.
At dinner on the first night on the ship, I accidentally stabbed myself with a fork.
I knocked my fork off the table and it kind of spun its way onto my lap. My first reaction was frantically reaching down and, "OH NO! Gotta stop it before it hits the ground!" and in the process..... fork to palm of hand.
And I actually bled a lot. LOOOOL A GENUINELY SURPRISING AMOUNT.
But while the waiters had disinfectants, none of them seemed to have bandaids?! Suddenly, one of the guys gets up and disappears for a bit.. and comes back with a box of bandaids that he bought for me at the gift shop..... QQQQQQ Such a sweet person; I'm really grateful.
But yes.
Here is my lobster.
Every dinner had an "exotic" choice you could make for appetizers, so I also got to try escargot (SO YUM) and alligator fritters. xD
orzzzzz My coworkers are bad influences HAHAHAHA because they taught me how to gamble, play texas hold 'em poker, and drink.......... I only started trying to drink this year (since I turned 21!) and I was a super light drinker, BUT IT WAS THIS DANG CRUISE that had me playing a wine drinking card game until 6 fucking AM. Definitely ended the trip with a bang.

Landed in Mexico!!!
We went on a "city & shopping" tour in Ensenada but it turned out to be more like.... drinking at every stop... LOL Sample some wine here, now have a margarita, and now we have more wine tasting--except with bread, olive oil, and cheese!
Taste taste~ Except I don't even like most wines (most alcohol tbh) because bitter isn't my thing.
We had lunch at this place, which serves FISH TACOS.
And we had more tacos on the street because Mexico.

Sunset :> Right before our meal on Elegant Dinner Night, we saw from out the window that the sun was starting to set. We had only a couple minutes before they were going to take our order, but still decided to dash out and see if we could race the sun to its slumber. The four guys and I--in our dressy clothes--ran up a couple flights of stairs onto the deck just to snap a few photos. xD
