This is a very trivial post and it contains spoilers(?) for Sword Art Online season one LOL.

So Fome made me watch the new SAO movie with him even though I was never interested in either seasons of the anime lol.... I didn't expect to like it, but I did! The plot was full of holes and there were a lot of stupid, cringeworthy actions—but I was surprised that I was fond of some of the characters and that the themes/social commentary were interesting.

After this, I started playing the mobile game which luckily for me, takes you through the whole plot of the anime :'D!!!!! So I don't have to watch it!! And I like the gameplay a lot! I'm a total poser who acts as if I know what I'm talking about but am really a noob, sorry.

I guess SAO is full of surprises for me since I didn't expect to get attached to a character through the mobile game lol... One of the first characters I rolled was Sachi, and I immediately liked her because she looks sweet and is dressed in blue and white EHEHEHE.

Then she showed up in one of the early story arcs as the girl that Kirito befriends, who's too unconfident to fight on the front lines... She confides in Kirito that she wishes to escape (which implies dying) but sort of keeps going even though she's afraid—to which Kirito assures her that they'll be safe, which made me certain she was gonna die. =u=;;

Afterwards, their guild foolishly gets trapped by enemies too powerful for them to defeat. And with her teammates perishing around her and with no hope of survival or will to fight, Sachi gives herself into the monsters with a slight smile instead of listening to Kirito. ><

For some reason, I found her a bit relatable LOL... I thought like, if I were in that situation, admittedly I would probably be the coward that Sachi is. It made me think of the last post I wrote, actually. ;; Sachi claims to be afraid of dying, but she's really not afraid of death—she's afraid of living in fear and uncertainty. It's so scary that she'd rather find an easy escape because she doesn't feel that there's enough purpose to live. It's sad, but it was interesting to sorta see my recent thoughts show up in a character.

Plus, when she fights in the game, her battle cry is "onegai! (please)" WHICH IS ALSO RELATABLE LOL I suck at games (totally lacking the reflexes, quick recognition, and awareness) so I often end up button mashing and hoping that something will work out. Anything, please!!
And now I'm stupidly attached to a character on a mobile game and I don't want to take her off my team even when I inevitably get characters that are stronger than her............ o<-<
