Constantly giving the update of "I've been busy" but I seriously mean it for this year's entire autumn season lolol. Lots of traveling—business trips to Austin and Washington DC.... Chicago was a personal trip but due to deadlines I made the mistake of not fully taking the week off (never again) which resulted in working late nights after spending the day with fome's parents..... Next week is Anime Expo Chibi down near LA where I'll be reprising what I did at AX earlier this year—supporting musical guest performers and photography! And somehow I'm going to be challenging taking photos at a wedding for the first time later this month...


This week alone has been insane too lol. What the heck.

  • Monday - worked til 6 AM to finish draft of video to send to client (thankfully still slept 5 hours instead of pulling an all-nighter like last time)
  • Tuesday - finalized video, it plays at the awards ceremony, lots of great feedback!! 🌟 sometime during this evening, a nasty bug bites my ankle :/
  • Wednesday - flying home from DC ✈️ during the flight my ankle swells up to a balloon.... blisters develop.... it hurts so much I limp off the plane.
  • Thursday - it's my recovery day from the big biz trip but parents wake me up early to go to urgent care, am prescribed medications
  • Friday - meds make my ankle tolerable enough that I still went to our San Francisco stop of BAR Con's Light and Shadow Tour where I helped sell artist merch and took photos! 📸 with some fucked up luck, our tire went flat so after waiting for roadside assistance and slowly crawling along the highway on a dinky spare, didn't get home til nearly 5 AM.
  • Saturday - i stopped existing literally just sleep and ded on the couch
  • Sunday - ...that's today!

Before leaving for DC, I also worked on this little promo video for the tour~
Isiliel's reaction to it was so precious I died and went to heaven. 😭😭😭😭



Anyway, for this post I just wanted to compile some of the photos I took at the SF show. It was fun, all the performers were fantastic, and I'm happy that I'll be supporting them next week at AX Chibi as well!


With delight and pride, I'm able to say... earlier in October I had an incredibly glowing annual review at work where they gave me a 10% salary raise !!!!! 🥺🙏 Very grateful for the recognition and that I'm surrounded by an awesome team that makes the deadlines feel less painful. (Don't worry too much, we try to take advantage of the times when we're less busy to take it easier.) I do think I've grown a lot especially in leadership skills—oftentimes am the lead for a team of editors—so it's gratifying that my efforts and contributions are appreciated. <3


To celebrate, I got myself my first proper zoom lens....! loong loooong boy


This lens was honestly a substantially good deal for the amount of range (18 - 400mm) but its light intake worried me—just testing in my bedroom the photos were way too dark, grainy, and unsharp. This did prove to be mostly true at the show, but I'm not that unhappy with a handful of shots I captured! It held up better than expected, thank goodness!

Additionally, I love these shots of Isiliel that haven't been shared anywhere yet. (It was difficult choosing just two to tweet!) ;u; She was ethereal.

    These are great photos! Everyone's sharing them and it's really brightening their day. It's refreshing to see how passionate you are about this and taking steps to improve your photography too.

    Congrats on the great annual review! I knew you would continue to become a strong leader for your team by example, especially after taking the lead on the music video a couple years ago. I imagine 5-years-ago-you should be impressed by how much you've done in such a short time.

    Is your ankle okay?? Must have been something fierce for you to not be able to walk properly on it ;v; I hope it's better now!

      Hehe thank you!! Makes me happy to see my photos shared and knowing that I was useful. 🥺

      I'm constantly stuck between feeling proud of my growth/climb/opportunities especially being a comparably younger person in my industry, and thinking "This is all I can do after all these years!?" But it's the voices like the former and yours that I ought to listen to. You're so good at encouragement 😭 An angel.

      My ankle is finally almost recovered after a long long week—I was overjoyed yesterday to be able to walk, exercise, and drive like normal...! What a strange, inexplicable, and terrible phenomenon. Thank youuu for the well wishes anon 💕💕💕
