πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’• My fifth year attending KCON and I'm still impressed at how I almost always have a good time as long as the ticket wars don't kill me! This year's lineup included two of my favorite girl groups (IZ*ONE and LOONA) and just overall most things were really fun and reasonably well executed in my opinion! It's still insane that simply at the convention itself—before you even make it to the concerts—you can encounter a ton of idols, listen to their special talks, potentially interact with them. ;u; I find some panels pretty interesting and I really enjoy exploring the expo with all the free beauty and food samples and loads of unbelievably delicious sales!! It's just become a no-brainer for me to go every year LOL.

Artists that we saw this year!!!

πŸ’˜ Owns my soul probably: IZ*ONE, LOONA
πŸ’• Love~: fromis_9, SF9
🌸 Like: NU'EST, Mamamoo, Itzy, Seventeen
πŸ‘Œ I guess I like?: N.Flying, AB6IX
πŸ” Interested in learning more: ATEEZ, Stray Kids
😊 Neutral: Momoland, Verivery

Just like me, this post is long and messy—sorry, not sorry.

This year was our first time attending with a big group of friends all sharing an AirBNB together so it was a different sort of fun adventure! For three years, it was just me, Chiisana, and another friend; then last year Y came along; and this year we were also joined by Dibur, Lee, and KT for a total of 7 of us!

We kicked off the trip by returning to Jaekyun's (it's a story—under Day 3 if you're curious heh) chicken restaurant! :c Sadly Jaekyun was not there that day but the chicken was delicious and the water did not smell of chlorine!

Chiisana and the cute apartment we stayed at 🌼
Funny thing... we were situated at a mere 0.3 miles from the Target that all of the idols were spotted at. Yano literally bumped into IZ*ONE while getting groceries and got to say hi to them.......!!!

Friday and Saturday selfies in my Produce 101 series outfits! More pink than I usually wear ever lolol I don't really know her.....

SUPER CUTE PIN THAT I BOUGHT AAAAAAAAAA IT'S PERFECT!!! πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ
Friday was just the convention—we went to a really inspirational music producer's panel, ate at KCON's version of a night market which I enjoy because novelty snacks, snagged some A+++ skincare deals—so afterwards Chiisana, Xephy, Mizu, and I went over to Little Tokyo and had okonomiyaki and takoyaki!

Saturday cosplays!!! πŸ”·πŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΈ
Y, Chiisana, and I dressed like Produce48 contestants, while Dibur had already owned an outfit like the Produce X 101 uniform!

At KCON, you get to be surrounded by idols kyaaaa/// Selfies with KT, Y, and Dibur ;u;

Friends!! The mirror in the second photo had been signed by IZ*ONE members!

This part was unbelievable, so incredible, like a dream!!!
We went to see LOONA's beauty talk where they revealed and demonstrated some make-up and skincare tips!! They were all super cute, too perfect-looking to be mortal human beings, and all the members warmly gave fanservice the entire time.....

In particular, my favorite member is Yves who caught my eye immediately because she looks like Sulli whom I love and our names are similar (hers is pronounced Eve)! She turned out to be a main dancer AND a lead singer in the group and I love her slightly awkward but sweet personality! She's also a whole goddess. I just love so much about her—how she's a bit of a cold beauty but also cotton soft but also a charismatic performer and has the most gorgeous smile. The entire time, she was super generous giving out big glowing smiles, waving, and making poses. πŸ’• In the second photo, she's not actually waving exclusively at me but because she had waved in all directions, I was able to capture that!

HOWEVER. . . So the beauty talk begins and I realize that I have a chance to explicitly show Yves that I love her, however I didn't have any signs or banners and I certainly didn't want to be one of the people loudly yelling out names. I looked around and realized that everyone had their phones out to record the girls, yet I spotted no one using their phones as an lighted sign which is something I've seen a lot on shows and expected to be more common. So I messily wrote Yves' name in Korean on my phone, replacing one of the characters with a heart... It's quite ugly actually but whatever, it was a rush,,...
I held it up right next to my face and within a few seconds, YVES LOOKED RIGHT AT ME AND HER FACE LIT UP.... DIRECT EYE CONTACT ///// AND SHE WAVED AT ME....!!! Of course I had to doubt whether she had exclusively noticed me so I pointed at myself like OAO? and she kept waving!! With that confirmation, I freaked out and threw my hand on my face and did this sort of embarrassing happy wiggle. AND SHE. SHE SMILED AND WIGGLED RIGHT BACK AT ME. I FUCKING. IS THIS REAL LIFE??? THE GODDESS PRINCESS YVES HERSELF PERSONALLY SAW SOMETHING THAT I DID AND COPIED IT. /faints

I can't describe the feeling at that moment as anything more accurate than the layer of ice around my heart melting and slobbering grossly all over the expo floor. πŸ’— I hope that she's able to take it to heart that she's adored by and is an inspiration to people ;u;

Onto the Saturday concert~ The lineup was IZ*ONE, LOONA, SF9, ATEEZ, AB6IX, Momoland, and NU'EST whom I'm very proud of for being the headlining act!! And yay, I finally got to sit with Xephy! Because of IZ*ONE and LOONA, we splurged and bought P1 Saturday tickets which is a higher tier than we've ever done before. TuT We seriously had the most ideal seated view—close to the stage, on the "front" side that the performers faced about 70% of the time, no one obstructing our view in front of us..... And something new and cool: they provided these RFID wristbands which lit up in coordination!

What an insane amount of charisma that night!! Yuri and Chaewon's (IZ*ONE) duet was beautiful!!! LOONA's power blew us all away. I felt my love for SF9 renewed. ;u; And we witnessed the first ever 5 member version of NU'EST's Deja Vu!

Chiisana and I got to use our IZ*ONE lightsticks πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•!
Mmmh, one negative thing about our seats (to me at least) was that we were in an area that was being filmed for audience reactions.. Most of the time, the camera was not on us because there were comparatively more hyped groups around us, but during IZ*ONE's "La Vie En Rose" I got reaaaaaaaaaally self conscious because the camera was pretty fixated on us—probably because of our lightsticks........ and it just made it a lot harder to fully enjoy the concert? >< I kept worrying about getting the fanchant wrong, or making a bad expression that would represent Wiz*ones poorly, or just flat out looking like a mess...... Thankfully this year they didn't broadcast any audience shots onto the big screen, but who knows if they'll edit them into the TV version?

As post-concert late dinner, we ended up at Quarters for yummy KBBQ! Xephy very perceptively noticed that our table by pure coincidence was the same table that NCT 127 sat at when they came to LA....!!

Now for the story of how I met someone whom I'll forevermore remember as my fairy godmother TT! On Friday while poking around the vendors, our eyes were drawn to a cute shirt with a boba pocket design on it! The rest of the rack was lined with more nice t-shirts with different pocket designs and they were affordable! I felt decisively compelled to buy a shirt but was torn on which one because I wasn't too confident about pulling them off—I took so long that the vendor/artist and I started having a whole conversation and she was just!!! one of the sweetest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting!!!! It was a brief encounter but she so warmly told me that she could already tell that I'm a thoughtful person I'm omg T_______T and she thinks that I would be well suited for a high management position because apparently I have strong beliefs but would be able to give criticism in a way that's easy to receive, and encouraged me to strive to move my way up as much as I can.... How can someone that I barely met say such open, kind, motivational, optimistic, and deeply insightful(? if they're true) things to me?!?! Like who does that?! I bet everyone in her life adores her to death and is happier because of her ability to touch their lives with sunshine. Even to an absolute stranger, she was full of love and care and was so giving and supportive ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Aside from how much I love her, I ALSO LOVE HER WORK. Her aesthetics are super up my alley and there's a lot of passion in how she designs and handcrafts her products. [Her online store is only open 7 days per month but this is her instagram!] After also buying that cute ass ice cream necklace, my eyes were drawn to those watermelon popsicle earrings as though we were magnets. . . . . I fancied many of her earring designs actually and mused that I would wear them if I weren't too afraid/lazy to pierce my ears. :c To which she suggested I try out clip-ons, which I hadn't really considered much before!? She didn't have any with her but promised to bring them the next day—and made sure to also clarify that there was no pressure for me to come by the booth again. ANYWAY OF COURSE I went back, we were both super happy to see each other again, and yaaaaa I got my first two pairs of clip-on earrings and they look really nice and incredibly convincing!!!!!! Lately, earrings have been a thing of envy for me and I THINK THIS MAY HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE LOL.

ALSO APPARENTLY for new designs, she'll only make one of them and will always wonder who's going to be the special one who gets to be the only person on the planet to own that piece of jewelry for a while until she makes more. Apparently the watermelon popsicle earrings are her newest addition and I am currently the only person on the planet privileged enough to have them, wowow 😭😭😭!!

Let me tell you. After hearing both LOONA and fromis_9 during their beauty talks recommending glittery makeup as the way to go, seeing nearly every idol recently with reddish/pinkish eyeshadow, being surrounded by ridiculous beauty sales and samples, THERE WAS NO WAY. I WAS WALKING OUT OF THIS KCON 2019 LA. WITHOUT SOME FORM OF SHINY ROSY EYESHADOW. LOL I went with this cute ass cat-themed palette for only $8 ($13.50 online) with a couple of shimmery rosy options AND a nice pigmented gold which I needed for my K/DA cosplay anyway! I'm really not very versed in eyeshadow so I look forward to upleveling my appearance with this......

Before the Sunday concert we went out to Koreatown for yummy desserts and street food :> Cuties with cheesy hot dogs and crispy ddeok & sausage skewers. Bingsu photo by Chiisana.

Oof, our Sunday seats were literally at the top of the stadium and constantly triggered my fear of falling. But it's okay, being stingy for Sunday was what funded our amazing Saturday view.... o<-<

Sunday's lineup included fromis_9, Seventeen, Mamamoo, Itzy, N.Flying, Stray Kids, and Verivery—and while there weren't as many of my faves, I found it to be an objectively more fun, exclusive, and higher quality concert? Many of the artists prioritized audience interaction and performed a lot of high energy songs that got us all hyped! There was also more live vocals which I appreciate and they slaaayed them. AND THE COLLABORATIONS/SPECIAL STAGES WERE THE BEST!! The concert started with N.Flying and Stray Kids joining together for a song—I wish there were more stages like that! And N.Flying performed covers of Itzy, Mamamoo, and a whole Queen medley which got the entire stadium singing along. I ABSOLUTELY DIED WHEN SOLAR CAME OUT DRESSED LIKE A PRINCESS AND SANG "SPEECHLESS" FROM ALADDIN, IT WAS MAGNIFICENT AND PERFECT JUST LIKE HER ;_________; πŸ’–

That's it; thanks for making it through this messy fangirl post!
