SCREAMS this wasn't on the agenda aT ALL but ..... instead of sleeping at a responsible time last night I was spontaneously inspired to try voice acting. As Ganyu, the new ice archer chara that just came out in Genshin Impact! Lolol leading up to her release, I somehow had very little interest in her but the more I got to know her.... who am I kidding, she's an ice archer—I was never meant to stand a chance. π₯Ί She's also kind and hardworking and wise and beautiful...
After playing her story quest, I fell in love with her Japanese seiyuu's soft, sweet voice so I thought it could be fun to try my own take of Ganyu in English ;v;.. It's surprising how different her Eng VA's approach is to her personality—it's more rigid, cold, and unapproachable. AND THEN AAA two of my closest friends mimi and chiisana agreed to record on a whim too! Honestly I have absolutely no aptitude for voice acting and almost scrapped this entirely before even asking them but mimi and chiisa are way, way too perfect for their parts so this feels extremely precious; I'm happy we did this. π Thus the first yolo Gemini girls' fandub was born:
Also would like to give credit to Albedo's Eng voice actor Khoi Dao for being the inspiration that gave me the courage to try this ;; English is his third language and now he speaks it so well...!! Here a link to him talking about his journey with trying to fix and then learning to accept his accent. So awe-inspiring. I wish him every success and also he's super funny; I am a fan of this dude now.
PS: Wowow I get to make a "voice acting" label!! Also tagging "mixing" because this surprisingly took a lot of complex audio mix work π³ A whole lot of EQ, multiband compression, and even frequency spectrogram work.. but I'm really pleased with how the mix came out considering it was my first time! I learned so much about VA even from this very short clip ehe
Without a doubt I've been procrastinating writing this post and I can't really explain why LOL...... I'm definitely proud of these uploads—it's not the case where after uploading I feel so embarrassed about my work that I avoid the video for months, which definitely happens... Maybe it's because I dedicated a whole tireless month to working on just cover projects (aka worked my ass off to get these out before Animal Crossing took over my life) so as soon as I was done, I wanted to be absolved of any effort or responsibility related to them for a while? Hm idk... Or perhaps it's because I'm proud of them that it feels weird to admit so and write about it in detail? ^^;; There's a lot I want to say...
Two big uploads that mean a lot to me!!! π
The moment I heard Elsa sing Show Yourself on my first viewing of Frozen 2, I just knew it was a song I wanted to sing. Frozen holds a permanent residency and large real estate in my heart for being what helped me explore my feelings and heal through a difficult time—and I just love Elsa and the whole icy motif (metaphorically and aesthetically) and the two sisters' different experiences with isolation and being honest with oneself. The first film is a masterpiece. π
The sequel is...fine? good'ish? But on my second viewing of it I sobbed through Show Yourself... I like the lyrics a lot! My favorite line is "I have always been a fortress, cold secrets deep inside" aaah it just resonates with me so hard...... In many ways I try to be pretty open—like how I share my thoughts and experiences on this blog!—but in many other ways I seem to always be keeping my walls and guard up. Have been criticized for that before by someone who was one of the most important people to me at the time ;; And honestly around everyone who doesn't know about my singing, weeb, and k-pop interests, I'm extremely secretive and not comfortable with talking about my interests... >< thus it's hard for me to form a close relationship with anyone outside of this circle or anyone from whom I fear judgment. And due to my thorny personality I'm often described as an ice queen which certainly has its negative connotations but I've embraced and like the nickname haha.
I also really love the build-up of the song—it made it super fun to sing because there's such a variety of emotions and range to it ^^!! I especially looove singing low and emotional and chilly, and then there's an arc of self-realization and then breathy AND THAT SUPER HIGH OPERATIC FALSETTO I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD DO and then slightly warmer and then strong! until I'm belting and sadly can't even reach the notes without mixed(?) voice hahaha. And with Disney songs, you can be emotive and nuanced in ways that poppy songs often don't allow: there's somberness, there's reservation, there's wonder, reflection, curiosity, confidence, openness!
I'm so, so, so happy that I covered this song. ;u; Recently I started feeling a lot like I wasn't sure in my own singing capabilities and to be frank, in a lot of collabs I've been in, I'm not that happy with how my singing or vocal tone sounds compared to everyone else? Even if I do redoes, sometimes it feels like I'm hitting a wall. It just kinda feels like GOD FINALLY I got to actually sing and show people some of my strengths!!! Like real singing that I'm proud of!!! ππ
Phew okay I practically just wrote an essay LOL. One last thing-- I used to do multi-language covers often (or at least just posting more covers in different languages and recently I've only been doing JP and KR) AND I DID NOT FREAKING REALIZE. It's been ten years since my last multi-language cover.............. jeebus...................... Let's not think about that too hard! Anyway I learned while working on Show Yourself that I basically don't know anything about any language lol. Especially with the added pressure of knowing that viewers would more pay attention to my pronunciation than usual and with this somewhat more classical style there's less room for fudgery than in poppy songs. . . it was a long struggle learning to better deliver the different accents in all these languages. Still much to improve on. Bless Fome for not only making me sound good with this mix but also teaching me some of the nuances in the Japanese and Mandarin that I missed!
Anyway here's the video I just wrote a thesis on. Queen Elsa rocks.

Now the second upload is even more special !!!! Nine years ago, 5 friends and I decided to join a competition (unofficial chorus battle) called DUBattle Royale with the group name Gemini, because among our group we had many "vocal twins" and we blend extraordinarily well together. What a fucking beautiful thing it is that the six of us can still sing together after all these years..... I call them my first found family because they really are that to me—I know that regardless of the ebb and flow in our changing lives, I can always still count on them to have my back and cherish that special bond that only we can understand. We were hoping to have a group meetup again in Toronto late this year but with the pandemic there's no way so maybe next year for our 10th anni. :>
So yeah we sang this amazing IDOLiSH7 song that's about flying high, smiling together to overcome challenges, having courage, and reaching for our dreams together !
Our anniversary date unfortunately fell on the day that shelter-in-place was first announced in the US and in general there was a lot of grief and anxiety on social media—so as a group we discussed if we should hold off on the upload/if it would be tonedeaf to sing something so cheery in these worrisome times, but in the end we decided that it might be a welcome breath of fresh air for some people who were looking for some light in the darkness? ;; Thankfully I think we were right ;;;; To hear that we helped cheer up some folks makes this video even more meaningful than it already was. I love it a lot.
Fun fact: every Gemini member has a strong preference towards girl idols lololol so we end up singing a lot of songs that cater more to the girls' ranges and voices. But for this one we girls have been like, "YESSSS OUR BOYS GET TO SHINE SO MUCH!! GET ITTT!!!" hehehe Jay especially is the standout in this song—he is the center of this comeback!! π
Oh and also I mixed............. the mix evolved a lot lol. We started recording this a long time ago and my mixing style and what I want to convey in this mix has changed a shit ton throughout the working period. I ended up settling on this wide sound with the vocals not too pushed forward, still bright but not overly crispy, fullness in the mids/lows, wet prechoruses but dry choruses. There's definitely something here that's preventing this mix from being on the level of professional that Fome is able to achieve in his mixes—I'm certainly hitting somewhat of a wall... but given my lack of advanced knowledge and not having as much in my toolkit compared to many other mixers, I'm overall kind of satisfied with the mix? It's pretty contained and doesn't make me cringe? lol
Looking forward to Gemini's 10th anniversary project~ π
Hello hello! I procrastinated blogging a lot in the past few weeks but I've been doing well! I've dedicated a lot of my time to singing projects but not in a burnout sort of way. ^^ My business trip earlier this month was incredibly exhausting but it's for one of those causes that feel warmly gratifying and fulfilling—I edited a video that celebrates some of the brightest students in the country with the strongest knacks for scientific research and potential to improve the world, and they always fill me to the brim with inspiration and pride every time I work this event. ;A; These students are so brilliant, ambitious, sweet, and hardworking; I love being able to share their stories and share their research, showcasing impressive and fun sides to them, and letting them see themselves as heroes. In comparison, they make me feel stupid and unpassionate but I try to think that my part in doing my heartfelt best to create videos that spread the message about their achievements and help them be proud of themselves is important too. ;o;
On this trip I also met up with Sonny for the first time over delicious ramen!!! We became friends many years ago through our blogs so it's super meaningful to me to get to post about our first meeting here. ❤️
Also got dressed up for the fancy gala at which my video was shown at the end of the trip!
Hmm, what else has happened... Chiisa and I got tickets for NCT 127's US tour in May! The ticketing process was painful but yay we're going! Also just one mere month before the concert, MY FAVORITE GROUP IN THE WORLD Lovelyz was announced as performers for the Korea Times Music Festival in LA π Even though I had to book plane tickets and a motel, I'm gonna be exhausted from being busy, and my bank account has a chunk taken out of it from my lung situation, I thought of course I have to go......... How much would I regret it if I missed Lovelyz' first ever appearance in the US? ;;; Sadly Chiisa can't come but Fome wanted to accompany me so it's going to be his first kpop concert ever wowowow~

March 16th was my singing fam Gemini's 8th year anniversary!!! We wanted to be more active so on top of a new project that's being worked on, we also thought it'd be nice to pick up a really old project that we recorded back in 2014! I had actually mixed it back in 2015 and shockingly the mix was not bad at all, I was kind of proud of myself..... But it wasn't up to current standards and our old mics sounded like crap, so I went and basically redid the majority of the mix L-LOL.. orz;;
A-and then I was going to make kind of a simple lyric video with chibis and just like.... particles and our dumb representative symbols from 2011, BUT LOOK WHERE WE ARE. LOOK WHAT THE NOOBIE ANIMATOR DRAGGED IN FROM AFTER EFFECTS HELL... I sold my soul for over a month animating this in most of my free time while listening to 37 episodes of Shokugeki no Souma dub in the background LOL. It was my first time making a 3D scene and I learned a ton of new things just for this video ^^;;; Please look upon it kindly!
We were all amazed at how our vocals from 2014 don't actually sound that bad ahaha. Of course we've all become stronger singers since, but man this really feels like the ~essence~ of Gemini that we're most familiar with. I'm incredibly proud of the six of us and how we've stuck together through all of these years—making us one of the few permanent singing groups in the communities we've been in that's this old and somewhat active. Especially in the past couple of years, we've been hearing a lot from people that have been supporting us for a long time or tell us that we inspired them, and that's just soooo amazing and heartwarming..... I really want us to keep going if that's the sort of impact we can have. ;^; ❤️❤️❤️
It's been years since I've written a post like this, but I'm gonna give it a shot! As my memory gets worse and worse, I feel like write-ups will be really helpful and yet also terribly difficult to compose since I've already forgotten what I did on this trip...... And I got back...3 hours ago.
Overall, this was a good AX that went fairly smoothly! Yay it wasn't a mess!!!
Admittedly I'm extremely spoiled/a bit numb because I'm privileged enough to be surrounded by my youtaite friends in my everyday life and it was also my 7th time (WTF IT DOESN'T FEEL LIKE IT) going to AX so I don't necessarily get super excited about everything or get post-con depression anymore..... I'm truly happy for how this event has impacted others—people's tweets are so, sooo cute ;;;—but is it weird to say that I feel almost left out because I don't feel as emotional about it as others do anymore?? Regardless, AX is still one of the most special things to me each year! It's strange but I simultaneously feel like I was more social than ever this year, yet also didn't socialize as much as I feel I should have—but I'll elaborate later. ;o;
This time, my hotel arrangement ended up being 10 people split between two rooms that we were luckily able to get next to each other. My room was with Chiisana, Hinoe, Sophie/Kuroko, and Diji; and the other room was Fome, Myst, Chris/Hakuro, Toast, and Lisa. They're all friends that I've already hung out with a lot (everyone was NorCal other than Hinoe) and was pretty comfortable with, so that went super well!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.
It happened. Gemini came back for another chorus battle, one year after LSO ended. Our visuals crew from LSO all either had their own ACB groups already or were busy, so we've got new friends on visuals now ;o;)b They did amazing things!
And as usual, Gemini members split up the mixing work, with me on main mix and mastering. Aaaaaaah I have to say it was not easy—for any of us on the team for that matter; we were all busy with work and/or school or.. had to evacuate from a hurricane...... Okay, it was very rough. Thankfully there was a 24 hour grace period after the deadline, because we couldn't submit our entry until 19 hours past the deadline. @___@ And it was really nobody's fault in particular, because the video finished rendering at the same time I finished mixing. Or maybe it was my fault because I was the one doing the rendering (god bless fast work laptop) and I had to split my time between mixing and figuring out all the right plugins and assets. But still, that's really fucking embarrassing to me—that I was mixing up until about 18 hours past the deadline. I'm deeply disappointed in myself about that. The mix ended up sounding pretty good I think, thankfully!! I appreciate having been told that this might be my best mix and I want to be proud of that! And I don't know what I could have done differently that wouldn't have impacted others negatively unless we settled on a bad mix. It's not like I was mixing slowly or that I procrastinated? As soon as the vocals were passed to me, I mixed every night when I got home from work, until I slept sometime between 2 AM and 6 AM. On the weekends, I mixed literally all day long, with only two occasions I had already made plans to spend with friends. Sometimes I would sleep with an alarm set to go off in 3 or 4 hours. And on the day after the deadline, I wasn't even at the point where I was tweaking minor things—I was still mixing and trying to make things cohesive. Aaaaaaah stress and sadness. In conclusion, I suppose I'm just not meant to handle this sort of a timeline. Anyway, it'll take some time for me to recover, but I'm glad that we got an entry in after all!
[Edit: Two days later I just learned that we were the very last entry to submit...... iiii feeeeel soooooo baaaaaaadd screams]
Also, I animated a small section when I had some downtime at work last week. xD It's the shouting part at the bridge with the stage lights, which is... pretty simple but I had just learned how to use lights in After Effects for the first time for this!
Whining aside, here is our entry and please enjoy!!!

Oh hello there blog. I'm just going to vaguely refer to how busy stressful life has been lately because I don't have time to write much BUT HEY LOOK AT THIS SHINY BRIGHT LIGHT. Four members of Gemini did a spontaneous short cover of a fhana song for Peace's birthday!!! (Peace is a very sweet person that we're very fond of––he's been super supportive of Gemini and we tied for 3rd place during LSO with his group Magicolle whom we're also quite fond of ^^)
【Gemini 「G4」】 γ³γ‘γγγ«γ·γγ‘γΌ 〜The Seed and the Sower〜 「HBD Peace! 」
And a bonus!! I was able to have a really nice dinner last night with Mimi and Chiisana! I got us these masquerade masks (it's a reference to Gemini's LSO round 2 entry Blue World) in September but I hadn't been able to see both of them together until now. ;^; I LOVE THIS PICTURE I LOVE MY GIRLLSSS
LSO final results came out!!! Gemini finished tied for 3rd place (with MagiColle), and that's really amazing. ^^ I'm really glad our team members' hard work was recognized. It was crazy but a fun run, participating in my first youtaite community chorus battle. ;v; So proud of everyone!
I would normally feel quite empty, but.... I've..just been working almost nonstop and have more things on the horizon LOL. I just have good memories of LSO ^^
Firstly!! I've been really wanting to do a solo cover since this summer, and when BLACKPINK debuted, I had decided on their song Whistle. Right after the end of LSO round 2, I had tried to start recording but didn't get very far with my sore throat, which then developed into a cold. So now finally after LSO round 3 finished, I went right at it and have been working on this almost every night—learning the raps, recording, mixing, making the video. FINALLY I'M DONE YAY QUQ
So here is my solo cover of BLACKPINK's whistle! It was a fun song to do!
We did it ;_;!!!! Gemini and our amazing support team made it all the way to the completion of LSO's final round—and it's been an undeniably arduous but rewarding journey! Out of all three of our entries, I must say that I'm especially proud of this one, which is fitting for a finale. <3 Gemini honestly thinks that this is the greatest thing we've ever done. ;u; Chienu's art is always always gorgeous (I don't know how she does it), our animators really put in their all and created some of their best animation work (oh my god this video is to die for; it's so pretty, thoughtful, and feels complete), and I really think.... this is the best mix ever done by both Gemini as a collective and me as an individual. We worked super hard. I hope that it shows! I'm really happy with what we were able to create together!!

Please join me in admiring Chienu's beautiful art (+ curry's background + kuroko's magic circle) aaa~

..
.
So I'm going to assume that by now, you've hopefully watched our video ;v; (please?)
The ending was a surprise we kept from our support team until the final video was uploaded. XD It worked out well because I was helping the animators render and edited together the full video, so I could sneak it in without anyone knowing hehehehehe. It's unfortunate really that we can't give them more of a spotlight when they're actually the heroes here—without them, we couldn't have made something this beautiful and so complete. They're really the driving force of our success, just like in our fictional story. <3
This adoooraableee flawless art was done by aeror404 ^^
Yesterday I wrote about Gemini's plan to have our classmates wear a sapphire blue mask to the school masquerade if they secretly supported gaming.
Not anybody, not a single person other than the 6 of us was wearing sapphire blue...... The blue world I'd hoped for in my imagination crumbled more and more as we watched people arrive wearing every other magnificent color. ; ;
The school director asked to see me this morning.... They tracked my IP address and removed the post from the school forum. What hurt the most was when she told me that she wouldn't have been so furious if not for finding out that she was stabbed in the back by her own staff, someone that she trusted and had always complied quietly. I keep wondering if it would have worked if I weren't involved.
You might think, oh you're student council president so try to persuade her, but in reality I'm powerless and too afraid to fight. > < That title is a lie—what am I other than a messenger?
And now I'm not even that, because as of today, I've been permanently removed from the student council.
Good night everybody,

I don't know what to do.
Without student council duties, I have too much extra time to keep logging on Lyrica System Online.. and finding none of my friends online.. logging out... logging back in again.
Last week, I chatted a bit with Razzy, the former student council VP, and now president. He's kinda bummed that now with the extra responsibilities, he might have to quit the Cheerleading Club.
Agh, he told me that all of the Gemini members have been temporarily suspended from their club activities ;______; I didn't know how to face them... I feel embarrassed and have lost motivation, and I can only imagine that the others feel the same way.
Yesterday, I had lunch with Chiisana and Mimi for the first time since everything happened. ♡ I'm glad they seem okay, but we're worried about everyone else.
We went to the Tea Club room as usual, which became our hangout spot ever since we discovered that Ryan works there and Mimi and Jay are regulars. And someone told us that Ryan isn't just suspended... he quit the club.
We're still trying to find out what's going on with him > < Ryan used to be the most confident host at the club, too...... Mimi tells me that he's scared of others thinking of his gaming interests as geeky and a flaw to the cool image he has to project in order to represent the club. We think he's too ashamed and believes he's tarnished the club's pride. ; ;
As for Jay, I was able to contact him, and he wishes to take a break from Gemini. I know that he's scared that the school will tell his parents, who are suuuper needlessly strict about his studies and math club activities.. It doesn't make sense that they don't trust him to succeed, when he always does... But I didn't press on. I can't do anything to help him.
And Jeffrey... the kid's gone MIA. No one's seen him in classes for a week. His jock "friends" have been joking that he got deported back to Australia. ( ̄ ̄|||).. I continue to be very unentertained by them.
The time with these friends—as the six of us made up Gemini and shared a bond while playing games together when nobody else understood—now just feels like a dream. One too sweet for this bitter reality.
Until next time,

´͈ α΅ `͈ Maybe.. Maybe we'll have a chance at winning this fight..!
I met with the current student council president Razzy, and he gave me some pretty sweet ammo, hehehe. The results of this year's school survey, which shows that grades have dropped even more and student moral is at an all-time low. I was confused at first, not sure what I would need this information for... I thought the battle was over. ; ; We'd lost the night of the masquerade.
And then he gave me a New Club Application Form....... for... a Gaming Club !! ; Π΄ ;
And it's been signed by: Curry from the Animation Club, Mari from the Animation Club, Catalystfrom the Animation Club, Chienufrom the Art Club, Amjupyfrom the Art Club, and Lia from the Korean Dance Club!
I nearly cried all over their signatures and destroyed the form!!!!!
Our friends, when they found out about everything that happened—the masquerade, the suspensions, Gemini falling apart—stood up for us when people were spreading rumors, and admitted that they also have secretly been playing video games. And...I think now, they're very proud of it. And the badmouthing among students has all stopped! They say that they were inspired by us, but they did what we could never do.. And they don't even need masks!! * ^ * How they had the bravery still amazes me.
Afterwards, they all popped out to surprise me and came with me to find all of the other 5 Gemini members—even if it meant going to their houses. I.. I even talked to Jay's parents!!! ╹Π΄╹; Watching our friends' examples, somehow they've given me strength and conviction that I've never been able to muster before. They gave all of us the strength and conviction we were always missing and afraid to own. They showed us that there are still people on our side and that we can make a change.
In the end, it was our friends' support that led us to believing in one another, and believing that we might win. They're the heroes of the fight, and we're lucky to have them.
And so tomorrow, all of us will be taking our club application to the school director's office together!!! It's going to be a tough boss battle; but with these friends by my side, I'm no longer afraid! ^ ^
Thank you for following our adventure,
- Eva of Gemini ☆
Gemini channel's been so active!!! Another upload happened in the meantime before our LSO 3rd round entry. I'm currently mixing nearly day and night. Rly tired tbh but excited for this entry!
Mimi was the luckiest lady on this day because Ryan and Jeffrey sang the Mystic Messenger opening as a duet for her birthday, AND THEY SOUND LIKE....... MY.. DEATH. Such handsome voices that suit the song perfectly ughhhh we all wish we were Mimi. I looped this so much—it's improved my life quality LOL. *q*
Chiisana and I slept over at Mimi's place last weekend after celebrating her birthday~ We had an embarrassingly enjoyable time shooting a little video lolololol
The Gemini girls had some fun realizing that they don't know recent K-pop songs as well as they think they do. 8D Also grandma dancing.
I'm trying to make the best of my relax time before maso hell begins ehe~ Gonna have a chill weekend before the LSO mix gets passed to me and I'll be working on it every night after work until the deadline on Friday :'D.....
For the first time in likely over 5 years, I tried to draw again! It's not very much, and it's not very good—but it's a refreshing, nostalgic, fluttery feeling. In middle school, I drew so much that I even started working on an anime that had a whole story written out.. Somehow sometime in high school, I just...stopped. I wish I didn't because my sense of creativity since then stopped flowing. :c
Hahaha....I can't believe the one thing that motivated me to pick up a pencil again was Zen from Mystic Messenger LOL! This game has me in shackles and I'm currently on Zen's route after finishing Yoosung's. Honestly, Zen's is sooo much better. He's such a sweet, caring character whose worries feel almost realistic. The game is giving me such feels!! It's fun, interesting, and sometimes even comforting. ^^
Oh and a few weeks ago, I started using Overtone's dye conditioner! My pinkish coral ombre hair from May had faded to plain blonde for a while now, and the awesome Gino recommended this as an easy and effective way to redye my hair. I like it a lot! I love that I can just apply it in the shower without worrying about it getting everywhere, and it smells like yummy spearmint. The color turned out pretty well even after one use, although the spread wasn't as balanced as I hoped.
Pastel pink~ This color was back-ordered when I bought it so I expected to wait a few weeks, but surprise! It came 4 days later!! With shipping, it came out to $23.50.
Blonde before using Overtone~ My company got an air hockey table recently so sometimes I practice when I'm the last one to leave the office lololol (still suck tho)
After Overtone! Featuring the Gemini girls <3 Chiisana and Mimi, who had just gotten her hair done with a pretty ash blonde balayage. *__* (if you've seen my last post, she seriously doesn't age, right!!!!!!)
"This post is 5 months overdue, but better late than never..!"
....I wrote in January 2013. And now it is September 2016 and I have JUST found this entire post of precious pictures from 4 years ago that I never published. How could I have let something like this fall through the cracks?
We were young, clueless babbies back then~ This is rather embarrassing and we've changed a lot—except for Mimi who doesn't age—but join me on a journey through our memories of what I still consider some of the best 18 days of my life? ^^
(Sadly, Jeffrey is missing, but I was able to meet him earlier in 2012 when I visited Australia!)
I couldn't be prouder that Gemini family is still singing together after all these years. <3
I have basically been in a state of shock for 3 days because......... not only did Gemini pass into round 3 of LSO among 13 groups out of 36........ we somehow came in 2nd place. It just blows my mind. It's like..... you have all of these super talented people, a lot of whom are pretty well known, who make crazy awesome untouchable things...and somehow my skills were deemed comparable to theirs and can compete with theirs? ;A; Because of the roles I played in the mix, I couldn't help but feel a lot of pressure and responsibility for the impression of our entry as a whole ;w; There's such a big difference between a polished mix and less than polished mix, and a polished sound was something I always struggled with so I was kinda worried I wouldn't do the vocals justice. And of course, I'm really happy my teammates' hard work got recognized and all of the last minute masoing they were forced to do because of circumstances paid off. ;A; This is so insane!!!! 2nd place!
So we've already been hard back at work for our 3rd round entry, even before results were announced because we wanted to have viable song options and story and art ideas at our arsenal in the case that we pass, so that everyone will have more working time.. @_@ So busyyyy and I'm taking forever to recover from my cold uhuuu
On a very late note, I wanted to share this adorable art Hinoe drew of me~ It was a commission for her AX funds (she was in my hotel room so she's fam <3) and I basically told her she could draw anything, and she came up with this super cute design! I find it so mesmerizingly precious/// It's perf.
I don't think I've ever been portrayed as this sunny before, and tbh I almost feel like I don't deserve it...;; I'm having a hard time staying positive and I get pretty stressed and unmotivated.. But I would like to become a brighter, cheerier, more optimistic person like this drawing! Sometimes I think I'm making really good progress and then I hit slumps ><)9 fightinggg
(Beautiful art by chienu, with assistance by AMJUPY <3)
YE!! I'm really proud of Gemini's LSO team for pushing through and getting our round 2 entry done! A lot of things happened.... from communication issues, to TWO members dealing with hospital visits, to a broken computer, to traveling.... There were a few instances of somebody not being able to do something, and then someone else jumping in to fill in—and I'm thankful for that ;u;
So we did a Super Junior song, which is really freaking cool. First of all saying that because I'm an ELF (was not even the one to suggest the song). And secondly because K-pop is rarely used in chorus battles and it's one of Gemini's signature qualities, so I think it turned out pretty unique ^^ And all of the vocalists sounded great! The art and animation are all fittingly cool, and it's crazy thinking about how those were pulled off in the little amount of time our artists and animators had to work. ;A;
There was a looot of maso this round..... tbh I'm still trying to recover from my masoing too LOL. Somehow just from working nonstop until morning, I'm guessing without drinking enough water, for a few days....or maybe I caught a cold....maybe stress...I don't even really know....it's still a mystery......anyway, afterwards, I lost my voice!!! HAHA. I was the final mixer and also animation support~ Did all the video rendering, edited all the pieces together, added chorus subs, and we uploaded AT 5:30 AM. 8D HOPEFULLY NEVER AGAIN ahaha. (but #worth because I love our entry and members)
So please enjoy because this song was fun to work on and our staff worked very hard!
